Who We Are:

Delco Diamonds Fastpitch is a nonprofit organization run by a diverse board of knowledgeable personnel, experienced coaches, and former travel/collegiate players.  This dedicated group of individuals has the perspective of playing at the highest levels while maintaining a parental perspective of having gone through the recruiting process both personally and along with their daughters.  We invest in your daughters as we would our own.

Mission Statement:

We will provide an opportunity for girls to enhance their softball skills, knowledge of the game, and self-confidence.  We believe in fostering a positive climate in supporting development and challenging players to reach the next level.  We will work to develop the individual but also teach them what it takes to not only be a great teammate but also a great leader both on and off the diamond.  We are dedicated to our players and families in support of the axiom that girls who participate in athletics are happier, healthier, perform better in school, and are more successful in life.

Delco Diamonds to add National Teams for 2020-21 Season
Vertical Divider

In a continuing effort to grow the Delco Diamonds organization and to provide the greatest number of opportunities for all of our players, we are pleased to announce that starting with the 2020-21 season the Delco Diamonds will be partnering with the EC Bullets in fielding “national” teams at the 14u,16u and 18u levels.  It is important to note that the Delco Diamonds is not merging with the EC Bullets.  This is a collaborative effort between two organizations that will include some of our players and some of our coaches as well.

The Delco Diamonds will continue to field competitive teams at all age levels, including those for players who are not taking part in these national teams.  Travel softball is not a one size fits all endeavor and as such our organizational goal is to provide all of our players with the greatest number of opportunities possible in order to assist them in achieving their respective goals.  The addition of national teams will allow girls who possess the requisite skills along with the desire to play at the national level an opportunity to compete against the very best across the country and in doing so greatly expand their exposure in the recruiting process.

The continued hard work of our players and families during this time has led to feeling confident in the next step on the Journey for all the Diamonds!

Special thanks to two of the sports’ all-time great players and current 2020 USA Olympic team members, Monica Abbott and Aubree Munro, who recently spent a weekend working with our girls.  Highlights included separate pitching and catching specific sessions along with offensive and defensive instruction as well.  The clinic was a terrific experience for the entire organization but the message of work ethic and desire shared with our girls was literally priceless,

Abbott (Tennessee) and Munro (Florida) were both NCAA standouts before joining the USA National Team which will compete in Tokyo in 2020, marking the first time since 2008 in which softball will be included in the Olympic Games.  Best of luck from all of us at Delco Diamonds.

Special thanks to Franklin & Marshall Head Softball Coach Brad Brubaker and his staff for spending an afternoon with our girls and sharing both their
knowledge of the game along with unique insight into collegiate softball..

Coach Brubaker is in his first season at the helm of the F&M softball program and well on his way to building a top flight D3 program at a school that epitomizes the phrase "student athlete", as witnessed by having 9 players selected to last years NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete Team.

With the true meaning of giving back this holiday season, the Delco Diamonds recently embarked on a wonderful community project by getting involved with "Bringing Hope Home."  This non-profit organization "is committed to help support the essential needs of families with cancer through "unexpected amazingness."  Our girls came together to assist in keeping with the philosophy "we can be your unexpected light of Hope in a dark time".

Happy Holidays from The Delco Diamonds
Vertical Divider
The holiday season is about family, food, fun and reflection.  With that spirit in mind, the Delco Diamonds recently gathered for our annual holiday celebration.  Its been quite a year with the merger of two organizations, the addition of numerous teams and most of all the continued development of all the girls.  Thanks to all of the people who make it possible - the coaches, board members, parents and most of all the dedicated young players.  Special shout out to our fearless leader, Bryan Garrett, and his countless hours of hard work and dedication leading the way.

Happy Holidays to all from the entire Delco Diamonds organization.

Special thanks to the coaching staff and players from the University of Pennsylvania softball team for playing host to several teams, including our 10u and 12u teams.  The camp took place in the Dunning-Cohen Champions' Field and Seasonal Air Structure Facility ... commonly referred to as "The Bubble".  Instruction included all facets of the game from hitting, fielding and base running to the mental approach as well.

The University of Pennsylvania is an elite academic school and a member of the Ivy League.

Special thanks to West Chester University Head Coach Diane Lokey and Asst Coach Laura Altenburger for spending an afternoon with the Delco Diamonds and sharing their knowledge and insight with our girls.  The coaches were able to give a true understanding of what is necessary to succeed in the sport by working various drills, instruction and general game fundamentals.

Coach Lokey is entering her 17th season at WCU where her teams have qualified for the Division II National Championship Finals each of the last 2 seasons.  Thanks again coaches.
